Does your vehicle make a Squealing or Grinding sound?

Brakes should operate with minimal amount of noise. Some noise is ok under normal braking conditions mainly road noise. But consistent or excessive squeal, screech, grinding, chatter or banging means your brakes need attention.

Brake Diagnostics

Does your vehicle pull to the right or left?

If your car pulls to one side as the brakes are applied this could be as little as a misadjusted set of brake shoes or it could be malfunctioning caliper, brake hose or brake parts in need of repair.

Brake pads and rotors

Is the Warning light on?

If the emergency brake is on, or you have a serious drop in hydraulic pressure, your brakes may be in or near total FAILURE. Do not attempt to drive if this light is on and the emergency brake is off.

Does your brake pedal go to the floorboard?

A brake pedal that nearly touches the floorboard before the brake starts working is known as a low pedal. This could be corrected with a simple adjustment, or it could be an indication of a more serious problem with your brakes’s hydraulic system.

Brake Pedal

Does your vehicle Vibrate while coming to a stop?

Excessive vehicle vibration when braking could be caused by several factors, including your braking system. If the pedal, steering, wheel or entire vehicle shakes, vibrates or pulsates when the brakes are applied, this indicates a need to have the disc brake rotors resurfaced or replaced. It could also be a loose component or a faulty steering mechanism.
